Start with service depth, not only aircraft size
A maintenance wash, a combined interior and exterior detail, and a corrective finish project are different jobs. Aircraft size helps establish surface area and access, but it does not describe contamination, paint condition or cabin materials. Choose the outcome first, then define what work is required to reach it.
Exterior work: separate cleaning and correction
Washing removes routine contamination. Oxidation removal, paint correction and brightwork polishing require additional assessment and labor. Pitting, corrosion or damaged paint may limit cosmetic improvement. A ceramic-protection quote also needs the chosen system, preparation steps and suitable application and curing conditions.
Interior work: materials and condition matter
Seat count alone is not a complete pricing basis. Carpet area, stain history, leather condition, cabinetry, pet hair and access restrictions all influence the scope. Extraction and deeper cleaning may require additional drying time. Repairs and replacement of damaged cabin materials are separate from detailing.
Access and timing influence the plan
Share the aircraft location, FBO or hangar arrangements, available ground time and departure deadline. The team needs to know whether the aircraft can be moved and what site restrictions apply. Short-notice or after-hours work is subject to confirmed availability; submitting a request does not book a slot.
What your quote request should include
Send model, tail number, location, condition photos, requested services and the ready-by time. Identify existing coatings and any recent repaint or interior refurbishment. The written proposal should make included areas, limitations and optional work clear so you can compare scopes accurately.
Hangar cleaning is assessed separately
Facility work is based on floor and wall areas, height, contamination, access equipment, water restrictions and operating windows. An aircraft-detailing estimate should not be used to price a hangar. Request a facility walkthrough for a separate proposal.
